Trampoline advantages
There are also many advantages to having an outdoor trampoline. They encourage your children to be outdoors which is good for them as they are getting fresh air and the activity is also very good for them as trampolining is a good form of exercise. So a trampoline really can be that Holy Grail of toys for kids in that it is allot of fun and is really good for the child to use, kids can easily spend hours in groups playing on the trampoline and in that time can burn an enormous amount of energy.
Trampolining has incredible toning qualities due to the very fast changes in forces as you bounce up and down, is a very good aerobic exercise and so exercises most of the body and especially the heart which will lead to improved general health and it is also a great endurance exercise which will improve your general strength (especially in the legs).
Outdoor trampolines can also be used by adults as well as the kids and so can provide fun and exercise for the whole family. There is usually a weight limit for outdoor trampolines but this is usually very high and so most adults will be fine and kids would have to be very over-weight indeed to be too heavy for an outdoor trampoline.
Shapes and sizes
Outdoor trampolines come in all shapes and sizes with round and rectangular shapes available and sizes such as 8ft, 10ft, 12ft and 14ft. Most outdoor trampolines are round as these are better for general use and also better for one person, the round trampolines are also easy to move as you can put them on their side and roll them although this can take two adults simply because they can be so large. There are also rectangular trampolines but these are not as cheap as the round trampolines but they are better for when there are more people wanting to use the trampoline.
The size of the trampoline is also important as a larger trampoline means more space for more adventurous jumps and manoeuvres and a larger trampoline can also often mean that more than one person can use the trampoline at the same time although check the safety information of the trampoline before you allow this. The large trampolines do cost more however and take up more room in your garden and so you need to think carefully about the size of trampoline that you buy. The standard outdoor trampoline sizes are 8ft and 10ft as there are lots of these available and they are also generally the cheapest outdoor trampolines that you can buy (this does of course not include the very small and inflatable trampolines).
Garden space
For an outdoor trampoline you are going to need a fairly large garden as they can be quite large. Most can be dismantled and put away or simply stored as they are outdoors and are quite light and easy to move, you can also of course just leave the trampoline where it is although a cover is recommended for this as is moving the trampoline regularly which will help your grass if you are placing the trampoline on a garden lawn. The trampoline can also be easily stored over the winter as they can be dismantled and placed in a shed or elsewhere.
Buy an outdoor trampoline
Buying a trampoline online is an incredibly wise move as they are often cheaper online and although they obviously do not come assembled you are still looking at some very large packaging that will not be easy to carry or get into your car. And the trampolines on each page are very relevant to that page so for example on the 10ft garden trampolines page you will see only 10ft trampolines and we also list the trampolines with the cheapest first so that you can easily find a cheap deal online.
